Velma gets snarky
Monday, May 18th, 2009..after only one day of popping. (see video) The weather held up and business was back to normal. I didn’t think we would have THAT many people so early in the season – we ran out of sugar so a couple of people at the very end didn’t get any kettle corn. We sold 8 oils worth of supplies. This would’ve been a very good day last year but it is shaping up to be a typical day from now on. Steve mentioned that he might’ve found some cheap help, so I might take him up on that. I don’t think the oarsmen on slave ships had to keep up this kind of pace.
